Make an informal challenge
If you have received a PCN on your vehicle, or for driving in a bus lane, you can make an informal challenge up to 28 days after a PCN is issued.
You cannot make an informal challenge against a moving traffic or postal PCN.
If you make an informal challenge within the first 14 days from the date of issue, you will receive a discounted rate if your challenge is unsuccessful.
If you challenge the PCN outside of the 14 days you must pay the full amount of the PCN if your challenge is unsuccessful.
To make an informal challenge complete the PCN informal challenge form and explain to us why you want to challenge it.
We will investigate the points raised and make a decision as to whether or not the PCN must be paid. We aim to let you know as soon as we can.
Chatbot Max is our new interactive tool available to assist and advise drivers with queries relating to parking tickets. You will be asked to provide your PCN reference number and contravention code to proceed.
Drivers wishing to query a parking ticket can live-chat with Chatbot Max to get expert advice 24/7.
Please note the form is not compatible with internet explorer and we recommend that you use a different browser such as Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari or Firefox.
It can take up to 28 days to process your challenge. Please only chase a response if it's been 30 days or longer since you submitted it.
