Is Lambeth Adult Learning open?

All of our learning providers are open and offering a wide range of courses and support. Many are delivering classes in-person with additional safety measures such as social distancing and increased cleaning. Some courses are still being delivered online, or as a mixture of online and in the classroom. Can I enrol on a new course?

Courses are open for enrolment. Please check the learning provider contact details (Adult Courses in Lambeth - Our Course Providers) for the course you are interested in to find out how to enrol.

Where can I find free learning and other offers for children?

Elevate – this website helps young people to stay creative. It contains activities and challenges which are free and accessible to keep young people interested throughout the Covid-19 crisis. Find out more on the Elevate Lambeth website. 

London Learning at Home – this website brings together free learning and cultural activities about London that children can access from home. You can search by age range, subject, key stage and level of adult input required. Find out more on the London Learning at Home website.

Where can I find help to apply for a job or find job opportunities?

Lambeth Adult Learning is working with Lambeth Council to support local residents find new jobs. The Opportunity Lambeth webpage includes help with finding work locally. Many employers are looking to recruit local people now and the Job Centre is sharing details of current vacancies here.

Other employment support from Opportunity Lambeth includes:

• Access to ‘fast-response’ online or telephone employment support
• Help with updating your CV, finding and applying for jobs
• Online skills development
• Referral for other support (e.g. applying for Universal Credit or the Lambeth Emergency Support Scheme)

Where can I find help for my business or employment support?

Lambeth Adult Learning offers a range of support for employers and employees from maths, English and IT skills through to in-work vocational qualifications in care, schools, hospitality and retail. These qualifications are free for employees earning London Living Wage or below.

Lambeth Adult Learning can also work with employers to design Pre-Employment Training courses to help recruit for specific vacancies. For more information, contact our Pre–Employment and In-Work Training Manager, Saeed Jama on SJama@lambeth.gov.uk.
