198 Contemporary Arts and Learning and Photofusion

198 Contemporary Arts and Learning and Photofusion work together to offer adult learning provision in the visual arts in Lambeth.  198 Contemporary Arts and Learning offers artistic space, education and a place for enterprise.  Photofusion specialises in training, support and career progression in photography, covering analogue, digital and the moving image.

City College Stratford

City College Stratford works in partnership to offer a wide range of functional skills, ICT and vocational learning.

Foundervine

Foundervine delivers entrepreneurship training programmes open to residents and businesses based in Lambeth. Programmes include business training, expert support and coaching to support early-stage businesses.

Free 2 Learn

A range of exciting accredited and non-accredited entry level to level 3 qualifications are now available through our new Progress at Work provider Free2Learn. The programme is for low-paid staff working for Lambeth-based Health and Social Care, Hospitality, Retail and Educational establishments paying under the London Living Wage. Staff will be able to improve their skills, qualifications and career opportunities. The courses are completely free to both employers and staff members and are excellent for supporting staff retention.

In order to be eligible for the programme, you must live in London, earn below the London living wage and have the right to work in the UK. Evidence of eligibility will be required to successfully enrol.

Employees can access free accredited training courses in Leadership and Management, Developing Leadership Skills, Stroke Awareness, Mental Health & Well-Being, Customer Service for Health and Social Care Settings, Customer Service, Suicide Awareness, Equality and Diversity, Digital Skills, Dementia, End of Life, Infection Prevention and Control, Preventing the Spread of Infection and Disease, as well as ESOL for Work, Maths and English qualifications aimed at upskilling and career development.

All the provision will be delivered via a blended delivery method of learning and 1-1 support is available.

Get Set UK

Get Set UK helps unemployed people upskill, train and find employment.

High Trees

High Trees runs an exciting variety of free courses, including Functional Skills ICT, English and Maths, ESOL classes, vocational courses, Family Learning, Art and Wellbeing and Community Organising courses. The offer of accredited and non-accredited courses ranges from basic skills that can help with employment or build skills for everyday life, to specialised accredited courses that can provide routes into new areas (such as housing, community action or education). Courses are run in a supportive environment to provide learners with the best guidance about opportunities for volunteering, accessing further or higher education and training and your next steps.

High Trees is the leading partner in “A Place For All’, a Lambeth based partnership project of three local charities (High Trees, IRMO and Baytree Centre), working together to support socially and economically excluded residents in Lambeth.

Iconic Steps

Iconic Steps delivers courses to help get young people up to age 35 into employment in the media industry.  Following the course, learners can join our Alumni Programme and access ongoing support and opportunities to gain employment with our media partners such as Disney, ITV and See Saw Films.

MI Skills Development Centre

MI Skills Development Centre (MISDC) is a voluntary organisation providing education, training, advice and support to disadvantaged individuals and community groups. It’s mission is to transform lives through learning that improves the long-term career, employability and health of learners and the sustainability of small and medium businesses.

Thames Reach

Thames Reach provides support for people facing homelessness to find decent homes, build supportive relationships and lead fulfilling lives. The charity also manages services including street outreach, frontline hostels, day services, specialist supported housing and employment and skills schemes.

The Ascension Agency

The Ascension Agency specialises in creative industry preparatory courses in Art, Media and Publishing. Its range of innovative programmes encourage self-discovery, confidence, resilience and self-care, facilitated through creative expression and opportunities to work as part of a production team. Key areas covered include Film/TV, Graphic Design, Enterprise, employment skills and education, leading to experiences in the creative industries, cultural arts, education, employment, enterprise and active citizenship.

Training Associates (Bestland Training) delivers in-work qualifications to Lambeth employees through a Progress at Work programme to help low-paid staff working for Lambeth-based health and social care providers to improve their skills and qualifications. The courses are completely free to both employers and staff members and are excellent for supporting staff retention.

Employees can access free accredited training courses in Dementia, Diabetes, Medication, End of Life, Mental Health Awareness, Autism and Common Health Conditions as well as Maths and English qualifications aimed at upskilling and career development.
