How to take a test at home
Each box will have a set of instructions that are simple to follow. It only takes a few minutes to take a test.
Read or watch video instructions on how to self-test at home in English and other languages. Instructions are provided for the different types and brands of rapid tests available.
You should test regularly, ideally twice a week or if you are going to an event in an unventilated space or meeting someone who would be at high risk of illness if contracting Covid 19.
How to report your results
You should report your test results on the same day that you take your test. You can report your results via the NHS website or by calling 119.
What to do if you test positive
If you test positive or get coronavirus symptoms, you should:
- self-isolate immediately. Support is available to help you do this at lambeth.gov.uk/self-isolate-help
- follow the current stay at home guidance for households with possible coronavirus infection
If your home test result is negative
A negative result means the test did not find signs of coronavirus. But this does not guarantee you do not have coronavirus, so you should keep following all current coronavirus advice.
