A PCR test is the type of Covid-19 test that gets sent to a lab.
You can get a PCR test if you:

- are a contact of a someone confirmed to have Covid-19
- have been asked to have this type of test by the NHS, public health, or an official testing programme
If you have symptoms, apart from going to a test site, you must self-isolate.
The following sites are for PCR testing in person only, you can no longer pick up PCR home test kits, which some of the sites previously offered.
To get tested at these sites you will need to book an appointment via GOV.UK.
If you have coronavirus symptoms select ‘Yes, at least one of these symptoms’ otherwise select ’My local council or health protection team has asked me to get a test, even though I do not have symptoms’ when booking on GOV.UK.
