Freeze your commercial waste collections

If your business is closed or unable to operate because of coronavirus, you can ask to freeze your account until you can operate again.

Everyone who lives or works in Lambeth should take an enhanced Covid-19 test

Due to new cases of the South African variant of Covid-19, everyone in Lambeth should take a Covid-19 PCR test whether they have symptoms or not. This includes business owners and employees who travel to Lambeth to work.

We appreciate that it may take some time out of the working day to go out and get tested or pick up tests, and we’re grateful for your understanding.

We're providing a full commercial waste collection service to all our customers who need it.

We know that many businesses have been forced to close or are no longer operating because of coronavirus.

Ask us to freeze your commercial waste collections

If you want to freeze your commercial waste agreement, please do not cancel your direct debit.

Instead, email commercialwaste@lambeth.gov.uk to tell us that you're no longer operating. Please include the following information:

  • name of business
  • contact name
  • telephone number
  • email address
  • business address
  • commercial waste agreement numbe or account number
  • a signed letter on your business letterhead to show
    • that you've suspended trading due to coronavirus
    • the date you stopped trading (this should be no earlier than 23 March 2020)

If your business is still trading, you're still responsible for your commercial waste collections.

If you have a question about the balance on your account, email our team at fts-ar@lambeth.gov.uk.
