Brixton Wings Music And Saturday School

Brixton Wings provides after-School group keyboard/piano, guitar and band workshop lessons, in which we provide an engaging and caring atmosphere for individual and group development pathways, for structured and improvised musical learning and playing. From beginners to advanced classes, participants are taught and encouraged to read musical notation and play to exam board standard, including the opportunity to work towards and take ABRSM exams from grade 1 to grade 8.

Our Friday acoustic Guitar classes are designed to help players work within a group structure, taking participants from beginners to advanced and for those who pay particular attention to practice at home and in class. This two-hour musical session can move from learning a new song and rhythm with an acoustic arrangement to full on band workshop with drums, lead guitars, base and keys.

Our Saturday School provides and informal atmosphere of creative and academic learning, from thirty minutes of warm up musical games and challenges, to storytelling, creative writing, some homework to more complex maths solving problems. The day provides a fun and friendly atmosphere of learning while developing key skills in communication and cooperation building.
