The Pelican Nursery

The Pelican Nursery opened its doors in 2007 to two eager toddlers and has grown to the point where we now have over ninety children across our two sites.

Over the years we have worked with the children of hundreds of local families and had the wonderful opportunity to share with their parents both the joy and the challenges that babies and pre-schoolers bring.

We’re a family run firm and that aspect is very important to us.

And family is also the reason behind our name. In mythology the pelican is one of the most protective birds.
It also features in our own family iconography: our crest is a mother Pelican protecting and nurturing her young.

The staff team are key to the success of what we do. From the beginning, we’ve believed that the quality of our staff enables us to be the type and style of nursery we imagined from the beginning.

We have a highly qualified team and work hard to ensure that the different personalities and skills
of all those who work here blend to create a safe, happy and stimulating environment where children can thrive.
