Support with breastfeeding your baby

The Lambeth Baby Feeding Service offers support by phone and through groups run in children’s centres across the borough.

The Lambeth Baby Feeding Service offers:

  • A breastfeeding peer-support service phone line for any questions you have about breastfeeding and the support available in Lambeth. You can contact the phone line directly on 07394 724 599 between 9-2pm, or by emailing lamccg.lambethinfantfeedingservice@nhs.net.
  • Groups of peer supporters who provide mother-to-mother support for breastfeeding. Groups are based in children’s centres across the borough and most are run in partnership with Health Visitors. All groups are run on a drop-in basis.
  • Specialist support for more complex breastfeeding difficulties, provided by Community Infant Feeding Midwives. This part of the service is accessed by referral. Your GP, Midwife or Health Visitor will refer you if needed, you may also be referred by the peer-support phone line, or following attendance at a drop-in session.
