Our Investment Programme into three cemeteries in the borough responds to the need to maintain historic fabric and provide high quality burial areas for Lambeth residents and the bereaved.

The council is rebuilding the Central Hill estate to provide hundreds of new, better homes for existing tenants and people on the council’s housing list.

We're carrying out a range of works to the playground in Windmill Drive on Clapham Common to improve the play equipment and help to maintain and support biodiversity.

We're working with the local community to improve Hillside Gardens Park in Streatham Hill, a popular park and recreation ground used by many residents in the area.

84 new homes will be built, as well as improved pedestrian walkways, and a new community space.

70 new homes at council-level rent, with another 12 apartments and seven townhouses offered for sale, ready to move into by the end of 2018.

Lambeth were proud to be the hosts for the launch of the new Open Digital Planning (ODP) project which combines the previously named RIPA (Reducing Invalid Planning Applications) and BOPS (Back Office Planning System) in December 2022 at the Royal Festival Hall. ODP is a collaborative project aimed at making it quicker and easier to make and process planning applications. Lambeth is a pioneer council at the vanguard of the Digital Planning revolution. We have been collaboratively leading this project since 2019.

We're making improvements at the junction Kempshott Road and Buckleigh Road to make the road safer for pedestrians.

A Grade II listed gas holder will be restored as part of scheme which will provide 738 new homes, work space and new public landscaped areas.

This project revitalised the playground with timber play equipment, connected pathways, seating area and is designed for toddlers through to more challenging pieces for older children.
