Quietways are continuous and convenient cycle routes on less-busy backstreets across London. The routes are clearly marked with purple signs to help cyclists find their way along roads they may never have cycled along before. Quietways are ideal for people who want to cycle on lower-traffic streets, especially if they are new to cycling in London. Quietways complement other cycling initiatives such as Cycle Superhighways and Mini-Hollands and will eventually create a comprehensive network of cycle routes across London.

Approximately 60% of Quietway 5 has already been delivered and Lambeth Council is working to deliver the rest of the route.
