Annual Electoral Canvass

We contact all residential properties in Lambeth from late July as part of the Annual Electoral Canvass. Lambeth’s Electoral Registration Officer must undertake a canvass of all households in the borough each year to check that voter details are correct.

Remove someone from the electoral register at your address

Do it online

During the annual canvass you can ask for someone to be removed from the electoral register at your address online.

You will need the two-part security code printed on the form we've sent you.

Ask for someone to be removed from the electoral register

Do it by post

If the form you've been sent says ‘canvass form’ at the top, you can make changes on the paper form and send it back to us in the pre-paid envelope provided instead of going online.

What happens next

Once we receive your response, we'll take steps to remove the names submitted from the electoral register.

Current legislation requires us to get 2 pieces of evidence before an elector's details can be removed.

In order to remove a person from the electoral register, we may need to send a review letter to them at the address where they're registered to vote. If we do not get a response to the review letter within the allowed period, their name will be removed when the register is next updated.
