198 Contemporary Arts and Learning and Photofusion work together to offer adult learning provision in the visual arts in Lambeth.  198 Contemporary Arts and Learning offers artistic space, education and a place for enterprise.  Photofusion specialises in training, support and career progression in photography, covering analogue, digital and the moving image.

City College Stratford works in partnership to offer a wide range of functional skills, ICT and vocational learning. It is based in Stratford but delivers learning across Lambeth.

High Trees

High Trees runs an exciting variety of free courses, including Functional Skills ICT, English and Maths, ESOL classes, vocational courses, Family Learning, Art and Wellbeing and Community Organising courses. The offer of accredited and non-accredited courses ranges from basic skills that can help with employment or build skills for everyday life, to specialised accredited courses that can provide routes into new areas (such as housing, community action or education). Courses are run in a supportive environment to provide learners with the best guidance about opportunities for volunteering, accessing further or higher education and training and your next steps.

High Trees is the leading partner in “A Place For All’, a Lambeth based partnership project of three local charities (High Trees, IRMO and Baytree Centre), working together to support socially and economically excluded residents in Lambeth.

This year due to the renovations taking place on the main learning centre, the team are based at the Community Education & Training Hub in 56a Cherry Close, SW2 2EZ and are available Monday to Friday 10am to 3pm.

Courses are being delivered from the High Trees Community Education and Training Hub and the High Trees Adventure Playground, as well as in multiple other venues in Lambeth, including children’s centres and libraries.

Iconic Steps

Iconic Steps delivers courses to help get young people up to age 35 into employment in the media industry.  Following the course, learners can join our Alumni Programme and access ongoing support and opportunities to gain employment with our media partners such as Disney, ITV and See Saw Films.

MI Skills Development Centre

MI Skills Development Centre (MISDC) is a voluntary organisation providing education, training, advice and support to disadvantaged individuals and community groups. It’s mission is to transform lives through learning that improves the long-term career, employability and health of learners and the sustainability of small and medium businesses.  

MISDC delivers a wide range of accredited courses in English, ICT, Maths, Education & Training, Health & Social Care, Childcare and Employability from Entry Level to Level 2, and non-accredited courses in Active Citizenship, Digital Skills, Skills for Work and Pre-Employment Coaching.

Thames Reach provides support for people facing homelessness to find decent homes, build supportive relationships and lead fulfilling lives. The charity also manages services including street outreach, frontline hostels, day services, specialist supported housing and employment and skills schemes.

Training Associates (Bestland Solutions Ltd)

Training Associates (Bestland Training) delivers in-work qualifications to Lambeth employees through a Progress at Work programme to help low-paid staff working for Lambeth-based health and social care providers to improve their skills and qualifications. The courses are completely free to both employers and staff members and are excellent for supporting staff retention.

Employees can access free accredited training courses in Dementia, Diabetes, Medication, End of Life, Mental Health Awareness, Autism and Common Health Conditions as well as Maths and English qualifications aimed at upskilling and career development.

Twin Employment

Twin Employment delivers in-work qualifications to Lambeth hospitality, retail and education employees through Progress at Work programmes which help low-paid staff improve their skills and qualifications. Eligible staff must earn below the London Living Wage.
