Small electricals and battery waste

Check which electrical items we collect, when we collect them and how they are recycled and repurposed.

Batteries we collect

Used batteries can also be collected alongside your small electrical items.

We accept the following battery types for collection:

  • AA
  • AAA
  • C (toys, torches, portable radios)
  • D (torches, stereos)
  • 6V (medical instruments, cameras)
  • 9V (fire alarms)
  • Button

We do not accept:

  • Car batteries
  • Damaged batteries
  • Homemade batteries (e.g. e-scooters or e-bikes)
  • Loose lithium-ion extracted from laptops, mobile phones, tablets (we are working on accepting these separately in the future)

You can also recycle your batteries by taking them to any shop that sells them.
