Report — Stage 1 Consultation Results Streatham Hill East Area, 15 July 2019

What is the result of the Streatham Hill East Area Stage 1 Consultation?

The results of the Stage 1 Consultation were collated and presented along with officer recommendations in a report for a decision to be taken.

A decision has now been taken to undertake statutory consultation on the following proposals:

  1. A new controlled parking zone 'Streatham Hill East (Zone M)' with controlled hours 10.00am-12.00, Monday-Friday across an area bounded by, but not including, the A23, Christchurch Road, Palace Road, Hillside Road, Hillside Passage and the Tulse Hill-to-Streatham Hill Railway line.

  2. Extend the Tulse Hill ‘H’ controlled parking zone (controlled hours 8.30am-6.30pm, Monday-Friday) to include Probyn Road.

  3. Extend the Brixton Hill ‘F’ controlled parking zone (controlled hours 12.00-2.00pm, Monday-Friday) to include all of Roupell Road.

  4. To introduce at any time (double yellow line) waiting restrictions:

  • at both junctions of Palace Road and Coburg Crescent
  • at the junction of Palace Road and Bushell Close
  • at the junction of Palace Road and Presentation Mews
  • across accesses to communal off-street parking areas on Palace Road
  • at the junction of Hillside Road and Hillside Gardens
  • on the northern side of Kingsmead Road adjacent to No. 48
  • on the northern side of Leigham Vale from the flank wall of No.91 to a point level with the boundary of Nos. 3 and 5 Kingsmead Road
  • on the southern side of Leigham Vale from the flank wall of No.91 to a point level with the boundary of Nos. 101/102.

A decision has been taken to not proceed with the next stage of consultation to introduce parking controls in Hillside Road, Palace Road and the Tulse Hill West area.

What happens next?

The next stage in the process is to undertake a Statutory Consultation to introduce these proposals. It is currently envisaged to commence in August/September 2019.
