Lambeth Prevent Programme

The Lambeth Prevent Programme aims to intervene to stop people who may be considering supporting terrorism or becoming terrorists themselves.

It focuses on using early intervention, before any illegal activity takes place. It does this by:

  • working with community organisations and schools to raise awareness about why and how people can be drawn into terrorism, and the support available locally
  • training staff in local agencies and groups in identifying who may be at risk and how to deal with it
  • running Channel, a multi-agency scheme to support those already at risk.
