About your homelessness issue
If you believe there is a threat of violence against you, or anyone in your household, which makes the London Borough of Lambeth unsafe, you can seek help from any local authority in England. It is unlawful to be turned away based on 'Local Connection'Find a local authority homelessness service.
What type of violence are you at risk of?

In general, private tenants cannot be made to leave their home without a court order. To get a court order a landlord must serve a valid notice, with a notice period being as long as 6 months.

During the notice period you may have time to find a new home of your choice.

Visit the Shelter website for further advice on the eviction process. For detailed advice on how to find a new home here without requiring an assessment, read the Shelter advice.

Tenants cannot be evicted without an order from a court. Please contact your landlord to discuss any notice you have received as they will be able to support you. For further information about the eviction process, visit the Shelter website
