Housing support and advice during Covid-19

Sources of support and advice for homelessness, difficulty paying council rent and issues as a private renter.

If you are homeless or at risk of homelessness

If you’re homeless or at risk of homelessness, make an appointment to talk to one of our Housing Options Adviser. They can discuss your housing needs.
Call 020 7926 4200 or email housingoptions@lambeth.gov.uk.

If you live in council housing or temporary accommodation

If you are having difficulty with paying rent, you may be able to get help from the Housing Support Team’s payment budget. Call 020 7926 6399, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm or email welfaresolutions@lambeth.gov.uk.

If you are on benefits you may be able to get Discretionary Housing Payments to help make up rent payments where benefit payments do not cover the full cost.

If you are a private renter

Our Tenancy Sustainment and Support Service may be able to help if you were assisted in finding your home via Lambeth’s Private Rented Tenancy scheme within the last 2 years. The service can also direct you to the council’s partner services that may be able to provide financial support.

Call the Tenancy Sustainment and Support service on 020 7926 0020, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm or email tstenquiries@lambeth.gov.uk.

If you did not find your property through the Private Rented Tenancy Scheme see Citizens Advice Bureau’s information, Coronavirus – if you have problems with renting
