Enhanced coronavirus (COVID-19) testing - parts of West Norwood and a small section of Streatham

Door-to-door testing in parts of West Norwood and some streets in Streatham has now been completed after a case of the Covid-19 variant first identified in South Africa was detected in the area .

All positive Covid-19 tests from our targeted testing, along with those from other targeted testing areas across the country are being sent for genomic sequencing to identify variants of the virus. This will help us to understand the local situation and at national level, any spread of Covid-19 variants.

Get tested

If you do not have symptoms

You can get a test if you have to leave home for work or other reasons during the National lockdown restrictions. These rapid and free tests are important as 1 in 3 people do not have symptoms, but can still spread the virus without knowing.

You can get a rapid test at:

  • Lambeth Town Hall, open from 9am to 4.20pm
  • Brockwell Park, open from 9am to 3.30pm
  • Streatham Library, open from 3pm to 7.20pm (Wednesday to Sunday)
  • Lilian Baylis Technology School, open from 9am to 1.30pm

You need to book a rapid test in advance.

If you have symptoms

You should book a test on the NHS website, via the NHS Covid-19 app, or call 119.
