Support for Community Early Help Partners

Early Help is everyone’s business

Community Early Help is a partnership who ensure that children, young people, and families receive the support, advice, and help they need, at the time they need it. Early help supports families to overcome issues and plan for a brighter future.

Our vision is that all children and families in Lambeth are happy, safe and thriving in a supportive community. Our partnership is working together, alongside families, to overcome systemic inequalities, enabling children and families to reach their full potential.

We know that more children and families need our help than ever before, so early help is more important than ever. Partners from across the borough have worked together to develop a new Lambeth Partnership Early Help Strategy 2022–27.

The Partnership meetings

The purpose of the meetings is to provide a space for partnership organisations to connect and collaborate at a local level. The overall aim is to build upon the existing strengths and resilience of partnership organisations, to effectively meet the diverse range of needs, and to improve outcomes for children, young people, and families within the community.

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic these were known as Locality Action Panels (LAP’s). In response to the pandemic there was a review of the LAP’s to ensure these spaces were responsive to the needs of partnership organisations and were redefined as Partnership Meetings.

Save the date. Partnership meetings will be held on:

  • 17th January 2023 9.30am-12pm Loughborough Primary School
  • 25th April 9.30am 2023 -12pm The Elmgreen School
  • 6th July 1.30pm-4pm venue tbc

How this is achieved

We uphold shared values that incorporate and reflect the principles and requirements of the Working Together to Safeguard Children (2018) guidance.

Partnership organisations are able to share key information about their current offer and resources to children, young people and families. This has been vital during the pandemic due to the impact on the delivery of services during this period.

We identify emerging issues that are impacting children, young people, and families in order to develop collaborative responses to these at an early intervention level across the partnership.

Partnership organisation training needs are identified in relation to working with children, young people, and families to further develop partners knowledge, understanding and skills to effectively support and safeguard families.

We build links and offer networking opportunities for partners to work together, independent of Community Early Help.
