Lambeth Council intend to submit a Faculty application to the Diocese of Southwark to reuse public (common) graves within the consecrated area of Streatham Cemetery Sections V and 5. The last burials in these graves took place over 75 years ago.
It should be noted that the Chancellor of the Diocese has some guidelines on the reuse of burial space which is available online at the Diocese of Southwark.
The earliest date proposed for re-use is 6 months after the date of this notice.
Public Grave numbers 538-1249 (inclusive) in Section V and 403-721 (inclusive) in Section 5 are affected.
A relative is given as the spouse or civil partner to the person buried or any lineal ancestor or descendant, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, nephew, niece or first cousin of their spouse or civil partner.
